Planning to convert a large room over the garage to a home theater/mancave. Major problem appears to be roof angles and existing windows. Area is approximately 17x35 and ceiling height is approximately 10 feet at apex but roof slopes in a cathedral pattern. Area also has a closet area that I would like to utilize in the overall design (bar/concession area etc. Plan to place a 133 foot theater screen if possible. Existing condition is excellent but plan to completely remodel. Open to adding trim etc to accomodate a proper style for the room but would like to avoid excess expense.
Would like to design a visuallly attractive home theater.mancave within a credible budget. I believe that once I have a conceptual rendering of the project I can readily contract out the necessary services. However if the individual can provide additional ideas/concepts as to interior design etc that would be wonderful
Do not plan to remove any windows. Planned to build a wall in front of one window to accomdate the theater screen. The wall would allow access to the window if needed.Open to all ideas. Room currently has one front facing window and two side windows. Assumed the side windows could have window treatments to darken the theater when needed
No major considerations except of course propoer budget for the renovation.
Whatever medium would convey the propoer concept of the design (ceiling/window treatments/theater layout/bar area/concession area/additional fuirniture etc.)
