I kept all of your existing windows and exchanged the sink and the stove. Always in these old homes it seems like the stoves end up off in their own little countries and usually the refrigerator is not even on the same planet. What I've found though (personally I love to cook) I would much rather have more counter space around my stove as opposed to around my sink (if I have to make a choice). I didn't see it mentioned anywhere if the beam was staying so I assumed it would be and just worked around it. And I also didn't see if a budget was at all mentioned, so I tried to keep everything as cost effective as possible. However - it looks like custom cabinets are going to be a must here to be able to squeeze out every last bit of space. Thank you for this opportunity and good luck with your remodel!
After thinking about it over the last day I added a second plan to better utilize the space by replacing that beautiful big window with a smaller one to create more flow and cabinet space. It kinda kills me to do that though as keeping the integrity of the home to me means keeping things like that window. However, as far as the kitchen goes I feel the second plan is the best utilization of the space. (I put a drawer beneath the sink as I've always thought anything else under the sink creates a black hole in kitchens - thought it would be a nice place to keep your pet supplies)
